TRAINER Colin Ferguson's rare two-timer rocked Sunday's Reggae 6 to the core, 23-1 shocker DIMETRY P leaving 222 tickets standing after the opening event. Ferguson's second winner, YORKIST, 66-year-old Trevor Johnson's first mount since 2020, also ditched form players, resulting in a $214,285 payout, towering over Saturday's $2,152.

YORKIST won at odds of 3-1 at five furlongs straight, signifying stable confidence, as opposed to DIMETRY P's shocking upset of 1-5 favourite THE REAL IDENTITY. DIMETRY P stormed late between horses with Jemar Jackson, interrupting THE REAL IDENTITY's mid-track challenge from off the pace.

However, Jackson set himself a date with the stewards after breaching the whip rules, striking DIMETRY P an unsightly 29 times throughout the stretch run.

Robert Pearson, whose GET A PEPSI won division two of the Nigel B Nunes Memorial, also impacted the Reggae 6 with second-time starter THE LEVITICUS, a 6-5 second favourite among three-year-old maidens at six furlongs.

Though THE LEVITICUS was highly fancied against 3-5 favourite YOU'RE MY SWEETIE, Pearson's runner floored 60-odd Reggae 6 tickets after DIMETRY P's knockout punch.

Raddesh Roman winning aboard 1-5 chalk TIGERAMEDAT was smooth sailing. The champion and leading rider's backers would have also followed him aboard HE STANDS ALONE in the fifth despite the grey winning at odds of 3-1.

EMPEROROFTHECATS scored a routine win at five furlongs straight to close out the Reggae 6, which will have mandatory payout, opening at $16.4 million on Saturday.

Meanwhile, BOOTYLICIOUS won division one of the Nigel B Nunes Memorial from post-position 10 with the track bias in her favour, closing a three-timer for Roman.

BOOTYLICIOUS made all for her 10th win from 21 starts. The 2023 Thornbird Stakes winner clocked 59.2 for a three-length win ahead of PRINCE AMAAN.

A prohibitive 2-5 favourite, five-year-old BOOTYLICIOUS was on her second run down in class among overnight-allowance runners, granted a bye to race at the level, having last won at the higher open-allowance group in February.

BOOTYLICIOUS marked Roman's 101st winner for the season in chase of Trevor Simpson's record of 172 winners set in 2002.

Sunday racing takes a break until the three-day Heroes holiday meet, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, October 18-20.
